Carol J. (Van Houten) Pecor, 69, of Danbury, CT passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ronald J. Pecor.

She was born in Washington State on March 13, 1948 to Charles Van Houten, Sr. and his wife, Betty Lou (Ballard) Van Houten.

At a young age Carol moved to Connecticut, eventually graduating from Danbury High School. She met her future husband, Ronald Pecor, after his return from the Vietnam War. They married in 1972 and welcomed four sons. She worked at the Danbury Hat Factory before retiring to care for her children full time.
Carol loved crossword puzzles, her pets, and spending time with her family.

Besides her husband and father, she is predeceased by her brother, Charles Van Houten Jr. Survivors include her mother: Betty Lou Blomgren; her brother: John Van Houten; her sister: Betty Lou Dixon; her four sons: Ronald Pecor, Gary Pecor, Gradon (Filipa) Pecor, and Douglas (Melissa) Pecor. Also surviving are her 10 grandchildren, including: Anthony, Ryan, Hope, Gary Jr, and Matthew.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at St. Peter Church, Danbury, with the Rev. Gregg Mecca, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.

Friends will be received from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
