Cecil Franklin Nolen, beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather was called home to Heaven on August 10th, 2017.

Cecil Nolen was born April 6th, 1931 in Llano, Texas to mother, Virgie Crider Nolen, and father, Leon Clayton Nolen. The family moved to Marble Falls, Texas in 1932, where Cecil grew up in the community and graduated from Marble Falls High School in 1948. He attended Tarleton State University before enlisting in the Navy where he served on the battleship U.S.S. Iowa during the Korean War. After 4 years of military service he returned to the Marble Falls area and was married to Wanda Maxine Williams, in December of 1957. Cecil enjoyed selling Ford automobiles before embarking on a 32 year career in the banking and finance business. He was a long standing member of the community and served on the Marble Falls School Board, in the Rotary Club, the Masons, the Lion's Club, and was a member of the First Baptists Church of Marble Falls.

His favorite things were hunting, fishing and collecting arrow heads in the Texas hill country. Cecil Nolen lived his life with a kind heart and good humor. He was a caring, loving man and enjoyed the company of others, swapping funny stories, country music, western movies, and sharing the fried catfish he had caught with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, son Jeff Nolen and wife Annette, son Mike Nolen, and daughter Kay Nolen Swift, grandchildren Jake Nolen and wife Madison, Julie Fore and husband Bryan, Lauren Swift, Nash Swift, great-grandchildren Camden Fore and Hagan Fore, sister-in-law Mineola Nolen Smith (Tootsie), sister-in-law Ruby Ross, brother-in-law Kenneth Williams and wife Pat, nephews Bill Nolen and wife Susan, Bob Nolen, Jay Frasier and wife, Nancy, Dee Nolen and wife, Brigitte, Morris Williams and wife Tammy, and nieces, Becky Branon and husband Bubba, Catherine Bell and husband Rickey, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Cecil is preceded in death by his parents Leon Clayton Nolen and Virgie Nolen Yaden, wife Maxine Nolen, brother Clayton Nolen, and grandson Jett Phillip Swift.

The family wishes to sincerely thank all his caregivers at Brookdale Assisted Living in Lakeway.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 6-8pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 Hwy 281 N, Marble Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church of Marble Falls, 901 La Ventana Dr., Marble Falls, Texas. Interment will follow at Marble Falls City Cemetery.

Pallbearers who have honored the family with their services include Amiel Jay Frasier, Bob Nolen, Bryan Fore, Bubba Branon, Jake Nolen, Dee Nolen, Morris Williams, Nash Swift, and honorary pallbearers Alfred Frasier and Kenneth Williams.
