Peoria - Chad Alan Stear, age 41, of Peoria, passed away Saturday, Oct 7, 2017 at 3:50 p.m. at the Richard L Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
He was born on April 10, 1976 in Peoria to Richard A. and Linda (Johnson) Stear. He married the love of his life, Tonia (Magner) on June 4, 2011 at the family farm in Farmington, where they have many wonderful memories.

Survivors include wife Tonia and their two sons, Gage and Grady "Blue" Stear, all of Peoria, his father Richard Stear of Peoria, mother and step-father, Linda (Michael) Corray of Peoria, one sister Carrie (Fred) Magnuson of Morton, and many nieces and nephews.
Chad was a graduate of Limestone High School, class of 1994, and earned a Bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University. He was a member of the AMA - American Motorcycle Association.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Edwin and Juanita Blanche Stear.
Chad was a boilermaker for 15 years, traveling from state to state for work. Wherever they were, Tonia made a home for her three boys. Chad made it fun for his family while on the road by experiencing the landmarks and sites along the way.

Chad was a wonderful son, husband, dad and brother. His children were his passion. Chad's life was devoted to helping Gage in all he was passionate about. Chad loved working on motorcycles and traveling to HillClimbs and Motocross races in many different states. As a result, his son achieved many 1st place titles including winning the 85cc Jr, 85cc Sr and 125cc titles at the AMA Grand National Championship in Aug 2013, Aug 2015 and Aug 2016 respectively. Chad started raising another champion with Grady Blue. He had his own dirt bike and spent a lot of time racing Chad up and down the street, always letting Blue win.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, Oct 14, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with burial following at Christ Church Cemetery in Peoria, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Friday, Oct 13, 2017 at the funeral home. A memorial account has been established CEFCU for the benefit of Gage and Grady Stear.
