Dummerston- Charles A. "Chuck" Anderson, Jr. 56, of Black Mountain Road died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, from complications of leukemia. He was born in Bay Shore, Long Island, N.Y. on February 4, 1957 the son of Charles A. and Anne (Phillups) Anderson. He was raised and educated on Long Island and had later attended Fairfield, CT University. Chuck had been employed as an industrial engineer with United Technologies and previously for Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. both in CT. He retired in 2002 due to a health related disability and moved to Ascutney and then Dummerston. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed playing baseball, basketball and football. Chuck was first married to Victoria Winterstein and later married Jean Letterio in Hadley, Mass on April 6, 2003. Besides his wife of almost ten years he leaves his mother of Derby, CT, three daughters, Jaime Behmke of Enfield, CT, Stacy Anderson of Beacon Falls, CT and Cory Anderson of Beacon Falls, CT, one brother, Donald Anderson of Camp Hill, PA, son-in-law Gary Behmke, and two grandchildren, Zoie and Cody Behmke. He was predeceased by his father. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 A.M. at Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Richard O'Donnell, V.F. pastor celebrant. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions in Chuck's name may be made to the Windham Country Humane Society, P.O. Box 397, Brattleboro, VT 05302.
