Charles A. Barzydlo 82, of East Stroudsburg, PA (formerly of Bayonne, NJ) went to be with the Lord on May 18. He passed at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in NYC on July 25, 1934 and lived in Bayonne until moving to the Poconos in 1998.
He is survived by his wife Grace (nee Koscielicki) Barzydlo with whom they would share 63 years of marriage in June, a daughter Cheryl Monczka and her husband Michael of East Stroudsburg, son Ronald and his wife Mary Frances of Canadensis and daughter in law Michele Barzydlo of Cresco. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Eric Barzydlo and wife Alexandra of Etters, PA, John Barzydlo and fiancée Hannah Edmonds of Arlington, Virginia, Danielle Barzydlo of Northhampton, PA, Joshua Amabile of Bayonne, NJ and his girlfriend Lauren Mason of Phillipsburg, NJ. He also has two great grandchildren Alaina and Ethan Barzydlo.
He struggled for 17 months with Glioblastoma and was strong and proud until the bitter end. He worked as a truck driver for 40 years before retiring and then he was a courier for Pocono Medical Center which he loved. Charlie loved his family and friends more than anything in the world and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved to write stories and even had one published but sadly had to give up his passion for writing due to his declining health. In earlier years he was an avid hunter and loved motorcycles. He had a strong personality but when he loved you he loved you tough and forever. He also loved a good political discussion (argument) and thank God he lived to see Trump become President! He will be sadly missed.
He was predeceased by his parents Chester and Mary (nee Warchola) Barzydlo and his beloved son Charles last July.
