Charles A. Tuck, 71, of Kinsale, Virginia passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017.

Charles served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, returning home to a 27 year career with Lockheed Martin. He retired in 2002 and relocated to the Northern Neck to enjoy life on the water. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed deer hunting and trout fishing. Charles also loved stock car racing and worked in the pits for his nephew, Doug Tuck, and the #12 car. The family would get together at Old Dominion Speedway for every race. A true NASCAR enthusiast, Charles made the trip to Darlington, SC every year for almost 30 years, and cheered on his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt. Charles' brothers Vic and Alan, and good friend George, would pile into the RV for the trip. Charles loved to laugh and was always up for a good time. Evenings were often spent playing cards or yahtzee, while listening to blue grass or country music. Growing up the son of a gifted mechanic, Charles put his heart into working on cars and restored many classics, including a 1969 Chevelle. A jack-of-all-trades, he also enjoyed projects, such as renovating a home or building a garage.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Annette Marne-Tuck; mother Virginia Tuck; and brothers Vic and Alan Tuck. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Ray Tuck. Additional survivors in such a large, loving family are too many to mention, but he will be missed by all. No words can express the sadness at losing this wonderful man.

The family would like to extend gratitude to the Riverside/Tappahannock Hospice for their loving care and support.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 03 January 2018, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends at 11:00, with the service to begin at Noon. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
