Charles Edward Trump

January 11, 1936 - May 3, 2017

Charles Edward Trump was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, on January 11, 1936 to
Doris C. McClain and Charles Trump.

Charles, better known as 'Charlie' , served our country in the United States Air Force, and retired after serving for 26 years, and remained in the Air National Guard because of his love of flying, and his desire to help protect our country. We remember when Charlie's squad was called to go to Desert Storm. It was a nerve-wracking time, and when he returned safely, Emma Lee had a warm
'Welcome Home' party ready for him.

Coming out of the Air Force, Charlie had a passion for sales, and demonstrated his ability to sell with several companies, finally coming to Love Box Company in Dallas, where he remained until he retired from there. They called on Charlie even afterward, because he was such an asset.

Because of his love of flying planes in the Air Force, Charlie built and collected model airplanes. He had his own airplane museum of these small aircraft. He never tired of working on his models. Additionally, Charlie loved vintage pickups and corvettes - as well as his new ones. He built models of those as well. And his book collection - is more than a library - of varied topics, but included many to do with his multiple hobbies. Also included in his list of hobbies, was his collection of guns. Charlie loved the intricate details of each one, and was an advocate for gun safety.

On June 2, 1972, Charles E. Trump and Emma Lee Pollard were married in Dallas, Texas, and together they have a son, Eric. Charles has two other children, Sheryl Ann Trump Whitmer (husband, James) and James C. Trump. He has two grandchildren, Dr. Whitney Mann (husband, Rustin Tholen), and John Mann (wife, Sarah).
