DENISON- Charles Wade Smith, age 86, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Wade was born Tuesday, March 3, 1931 in Denison to Verble Lou (Merrill) Smith and Samuel Wright Smith.

Family visitation will be 6:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 8, 2017 at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel with Billie Mosse Masonic Lodge #1152 delivering masonic Rites. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Wade was a long time resident of Denison, and graduated from Denison High School. At an earlier age he enjoyed photography. He worked as a technician for General Telephone Company for 45 years before his retirement, and was a dedicated Billie Mosse Masonic Lodge #1152 and was a Past Master. He was a long time member of Harless Methodist Church and loved his devotion time. When he was relaxing, you could always find him in front of his television with a good old western movie.

He is survived by his brother Boyd Ray Smith and wife Eileen of Denison; nephew Joe Smith and wife Rayna of Cartwright; and niece Pat Layton and husband Jim Bob of Howe.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
