Cheryl Helgedalen, 69, Argusville, ND died on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at ManorCare Health Services, Fargo, ND under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Cheryl Rae Burley was born on May 24, 1942 in Fargo, the daughter of Oscar and Martha (Bergman) Burley. She grew up and graduated from Argusville High School. She attended Interstate Business College in Fargo. On December 30th, 1961, Cheryl married Cletus Helgedalen at Herby Lutheran Church, rural Argusville. The couple made their home in Argusville. She enjoyed operating a home day care for many years.

She adored her husband, children and especially her 5 granddaughters. They were her pride and joy. She cherished spending time with family. Cheryl's home was truly where her heart was. She grew up, raised her family, and spent all her years in the same house until declining health when she moved to ManorCare.

She is survived by daughters, Kimberly (Robert) Bixby, Minneapolis, Rhonda (Dan) Kroschel, Sandstone, MN; 5 granddaughters, Krystina, Bryanna and Ellysha Bixby, Morgan and Bailey Kroschel; two nephews and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cletus in January 2011; and nephew, Craig Helgedalen.

Funeral: Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 2 PM at Herby Lutheran Church, rural Argusville with visitation from 1 to 2 PM.

Burial: Herby Lutheran Cemetery.
