Copenhaver, Cheryl L. (Age 76)

Cheryl Lynne Copenhaver (Henriksen) entered into Heaven's gates on December 20, 2016. As her spirit departed she was surrounded by all that was most precious to her on this earth - the love of her family and her home. Cheryl was the second born of three children to Leo and Doris Henriksen from Pasadena, California. She spent her growing years in the San Fernando Valley amongst the orange groves and rolling hills. She was always a lover of the outdoors and wide open spaces, so as southern California boomed in the early 60's she determined she would set out on her first of many great adventures and made the move to the Inland Northwest in 1962. In 1964 she met the love of her life, Delbert (Deb) Copenhaver and the two were married on November 22 of that year.
Deb and Cheryl moved from Benton City Washington to Creston in 1968 where they raised their three children. Through the years her life has been marked by family and friendships, good horses, business ventures, and shared dreams with her husband; however, her greatest love and treasure has been her Savior, Jesus Christ. He has brought great joy to her days, comfort and peace in her trials, and gifted her with the exquisite smile she will always be remembered for.
Cheryl is survived by her husband and her five children Guy (and Vallesha) Copenhaver, Kellie (and Fred) Hurt, Matt (and Kalo) Copenhaver, Deborah (and Fred) Fellows, and Jeff (and Sherry) Copenhaver, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren with two more arriving soon; her brother Charles (and Sue) Henriksen along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Leo Henriksen and Doris Donner, and her sister Anne Noel Carlson. There will be a visitation at the STRATE FUNERAL HOME, Davenport, WA on Wednesday, Dec. 28th from 12:00 PM-4:00 PM.
