Mrs. Christine Loretta Lynch Person peacefully made her transition on Thursday, February 20, 2014. She was born in Conway, South Carolina on February 26, 1936. She was the daughter of James L. Lynch and Gertrude Willis Lynch. "Mrs. Chris," as she was affectionately known, was a graduate of Whittemore High School Class of 1953. After graduation, she attended South Carolina State College where she met and married her life partner, Charles M. Person. To this union, three children were born: Anthony, Terry, and Gregory. In addition to starting a family, Mrs. Chris worked at Strauss Photo in Washington, D. C. Upon returning to South Carolina, she worked for Patricia Inn and the Sands Ocean Forest Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Mrs. Chris enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a wonderful teacher and counselor to others and was excellent in pointing family in the right direction…with tough love. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Lynch Long and two brothers, Gareth and James (Jimmy) Lynch. Those who shared joys and sorrows with her and remain to cherish her memory are: her husband, Charles M. Person of Florence, SC; her sons, Charles Anthony (Sharon) Person and Gregory Sean Person, both of Florence, SC; her daughter, Terry Lynn (Kenneth) Bellamy of Conway, SC; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her sisters, Doris (Sandy) Gillison, Betty Ann Lynch, both of Conway, SC, Alice (Charles) Johnson of Camp Springs, MD; one brother, Mervin Lynch of Conway, SC; one brother-in-law, Houston S. Person of New York; a special friend, Sharon Kennedy; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews whom she was affectionately concerned for as well as countless cousins, other relatives and friends.
