Cleveland (Steve) Stevens passed away on October 12, at the age of 82. He was born in Cuero, Texas to Marcus Lafyette and Mamie Stevens on June 22, 1935. He married the love of his life, Marilyn Faye, on December 24, 1953. Four children followed over the next 9 years. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, a daughter Charlotte (Paul), and three sons, Cole (Anna), DeWayne (Maggie), and Mark (Norma), and embraced another Michael (Miyano) Lee; three nephews, Bobbie (Diane) Stevens, Kenneth (Debbie) Stevens, and Johnny Phillips, and a niece Mary Pualette. He also leaves behind 13 Grand Children and 8 Great-Grand Children.
Cleveland worked as Foreman for Calhoun County Precinct 3 and retired after 28 years. He also retired from Witco Chemical after 17 years and served Point Comfort's Volunteer Fire Department for over 21 years.
Cleveland enjoyed camping, fishing and family activities with his wife, children and grand children. He was a born mechanic and could repair anything mechanical.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Mamie, his brother Mike, his brother Marcus Cole, and sister Pauline, and infant great grandchild Brianna Blevins.
The Funeral Service will be held at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Service is scheduled for Saturday October 14, 2017 at 2 p.m. Followed by the burial in Olivia, Texas. Officiated by Pastor Ken Bolton. Pallbearers: nephews Bobbie Stevens and Kenneth Stevens, grandson Clenton Lee, Sean Stevens, Ruben Zarate, and Jamie Lepez. Honorary Pallbears: Byron Carr, grand children, and great grandchildren.
