Clinton Larry Nichols, 75, of Wichita Falls, passed from this life on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Funeral Services will be at 10 AM Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Edgemere Church of Christ with ministers Ken Holsberry and Joe Williams officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 - 8 p.m., Monday at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Interment will be at 3pm in Wolf Valley Cemetery, Brown County, Texas.

Larry was born on November 16, 1942 in May, Texas to Carl Byron and Rose Mae Bowden Nichols. He attended school at Rising Star through the eleventh grade and graduated from May High School. He married Linda Kay Duggan on June 11, 1966. Larry attended Tarrant County College where he received an Associates Degree in low temperature refrigeration HVAC and worked at General Motors in Arlington, Texas and retired from Grand Prairie ISD. He later owned and operated Nichols Home and Auto Air.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Carl Byron Nichols and Rose Mae Bowden Nichols; brothers: Colonel Carl Byron Nichols Jr., and Jimmy Dean Nichols.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda Kay, they were happily married for 51 years. They were blessed with one son, Barry Keith Nichols of Wichita Falls and wife, Callie, three beloved granddaughters, Kylie, Jaci and Delaney, who were Pap Paw's little angels.

He enjoyed watching high school football, billiards, water skiing, swimming, fishing, and family reunions. He was involved with Arlington Jaycees, Youth Optimist Soccer and Baseball, volunteering at the Sonshine House Benevolent Center and helping elderly people.

He never met a stranger and had the heart of a servant.

His favorite motto: "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do."

In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls or to Sonshine House Ministries.
