Clydie May Kinser, age 91, of Gatesville passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Meadows.

Clydie was born February 15, 1926 in Hamilton County to D.C. and Oral Mae Smith. Clydie was a loving mother, granny, and great granny. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, reading, and spending time with her family. She graduated from Hamilton High School. She began her working career straight out of high school at Gulf State Telephone Company as a switchboard operator. She then spent the remainder of her working career as a seamstress working at Patties of Texas in Hamilton and then Walls in Clifton, Texas. Her passion in life was visiting with family, winning BINGO, and working "Word Finds" at the Meadows, where she resided later in life.

Visitation will be 1-2 PM, Sunday, March 19, 2017. Followed by a graveside service at 2:30 PM, Pottsville Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, D. C. and Oral Mae Smith; daughter, Margie Kinser Karasek; and grand daughter, Tina Karasek Enoch; brother, J. D. Smith; and sisters, Opal Hillegas and Joyce Bush.

Clydie is survived by daughter, Mary Fairclothe and husband, Tim; son, Melvin (Doug) Kinser and wife, Cindy; son-in-law Leonard Karasek; grandchildren, Catherine (Regina) Harrison and husband, Chip, Susan Wylie and husband, Thomas, Michael Kinser, and Erin Fairclothe; and great grandchildren, David, Chris, Bailey, Payton, Isabella, Anastasia and Conner.
