Constance Culver, long time Grand Junction resident, passed away at her home on March 6, 2011. Connie was born in Fort Worth, Texas from the union of Ralph and Florence Quillin Tyson on February 6, 1921. Connie married Ralph Culver in January of 1952 and of this union two children were born. Connie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Social Order of the Beauceant and Daughters of the Nile. She worked for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad for 15 years as a telegrapher before starting a second career as a cook for School District 51. She enjoyed China and tole painting, needlepoint, sewing and cooking for her family and friends. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and a step-son. She leaves behind her children, Adrian (Nimfa) Culver of Texas; daughter, Gail (Russell) Sibert of Colorado; one brother, two sisters, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. A celebration of Connie's life will be held Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Mortuary with burial to follow at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Shriners Hospital. Condolences may be left for the family at
