C.D. Offield (Curtis Donald) 83, of Midland passed away on November 21, 2017 in his home. C.D. was born February 20, 1934 in Glenn, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred Lee and Lois Ann Offield, his wife Ruby Faye Offield, his daughter Lenora Faye (Sissy) Manley, and his brothers Denver, Dudley and Bobby Offield.

C.D. came to Midland from Littlefield, Texas in 1950, where he met and married the love of his life Ruby Faye Griffith on September 19, 1952. They had three children Lenora Faye, Perry Donald and Lynn Dale.
C.D. worked as a cabinet maker, then went to work for Pittsburg Plate and Glass, from there he started working for the Building of the Southwest where he managed the building. He then started his own business CD's Glass and Mirror, which he operated for over 25 years.

After his retirement, he enjoyed farming, raising goats, and working his land. He loved being outdoors whether he was fishing or riding on his tractor. He also loved square dancing and traveling to Bluegrass Festivals.

C.D. is survived by his sons Perry and Lynn Offield and families; his three sisters-Freddy Webb of Lubbock, Patsy Grimes of Littlefield and Topsy Conner of Springlake; numerous grandchildren: Robert, Codi and Brandon Manley and families, Regina Adams, Shanna, Lamanda, Kelly, Shantee and Kimberly Offield and numerous great-grandchildren.

C.D. never met a stranger or failed to have a story to tell. He loved to make people laugh or just see their reactions to his stories. He was loved by everyone and will be truly missed by all.

Visitation will be held at Ellis Funeral Home on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Pallbearers: Robert Manley, Brandon Manley, Justin McMorries, Justin Smith and Erick Lucenti.

Honorary Pallbearers: Randal and Artie Offield, Colton Dale Manley, Jayden Manley, Don Manley.
