CREVE COEUR ~ Cynthia “Cindy” Joyce Marlow, 72, of Creve Coeur, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020 at her home.

Born August 23, 1947 in Astoria, Oregon to Gean Javon and Velda Ella (Johnston) Street, she married Richard Marlow on December 27, 1995 in Pekin. He died May 21, 2002 in New Mexico. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David J. Street.

Surviving are two daughters, Stephanie (Jonathan) Freeman of Picayune, Mississippi and  Tammy (Donald) of Crittenden, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Jacob (Heather) Freeman of Charlotte, North Carolina, Savannah Freeman of Picayune, Mississippi, Cassandra (Ricardo) Barkley-Trevino of Huntsville, Alabama and Graham and Drake Vinson of Dayton, Ohio; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pam McGregor of Creve Coeur and Jeanie (William) Gerber of Orlando, Florida and her boyfriend, Otis “Odie” Fitchpatrick of Creve Coeur.

Cindy had worked as a data entry clerk for many years in the area, retiring in 2010.

She was professional Country and Western singer for over 30 years. Cindy sang locally and in Nashville, including with Dolly Pardon. Her first Nashville performance was with Pee Wee King. She also entertained with the U.S.O. in Greenland and Hawaii.

A gathering celebrating Cindy’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
