Daisy passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017. She was 100. Born on August 29, 1917, in Dinuba, Daisy graduated from Dinuba High School in 1935 where she excelled in softball and tennis. She starred with Bertha Petnak on Dinuba's women's softball team. She attended Woodbury College in Los Angeles from 1936 to 1938.

In 1941, Daisy married Dan Vasilovich of Jackson, California. Later in 1941, Dan enlisted in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. Upon war's end in 1945, Dan served with the United Nations in the reconstruction of Southeastern Europe. Returning to California in 1947, Dan and Daisy settled in Reedley where they made their home and raised their family. Over the next 57 years until Dan's passing in 2004, they engaged in farming of grapes, plums, citrus and poultry on their family farm property north of Reedley. Community-active, Daisy served as President of the Alta Union Elementary PTA. Civic-minded, from 1976 to 1988, she worked tireless hours in the election campaigns of Senator Rose Ann Vuich. Daisy and Rose Ann were first cousins. Initiated into the Order of the Eastern Star, she was a 50-year member of the Legacy Chapter in Fresno. From 1967 to 2001, Daisy worked for Reedley College and the Department of Forestry. Blessed with excellent health and stamina, her strength of character and power of will withstood the demands of farm life while employed full-time. At 84, she retired from the State of California. Known throughout the Serbian community of Central, Southern and Northern California, Daisy was a pillar of the Vuich, Spadier and Vasilovich families. She was a devoted wife to her late husband Dan. She was a resourceful mother to her children. In her centennial year, Daisy passed away peacefully in her home of 63 years north of Reedley.

She is survived by her daughter Debra; son Peter Danilo; son Robert and daughter-in-law Adair; grandson Adam and grand daughter-in-law Stacey, and great grandchildren Jase and Jenner.

Visitation will held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel, 202 North Teilman Avenue, Fresno, California, 93706, (559) 268-9292. on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 11.00 a.m. Interment Service will follow at Belmont Memorial Park.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
