She is survived by her siblings: Joseph & his wife Kathy Driffill, Maureen & her husband Timothy Finn, Melanie Canhan, Deborah VanKalsbeek, Pamela & her husband Edwin Carratini, as well as Daniel & his wife Lauren Driffill; her sons: Timothy & his wife Debbie Schuler, Robert & his wife Tracy Schuler, Billyjoe & his wife Ruth Litton, Marcus Litton, Raymond Litton & his wife Tammy Flynn; her daughters: Terrie Hardin, Joan & her husband Mark Shifflett, Joy Litton & her husband Steve Perham; her 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
Dale was the matriarch and caretaker of her family. She was a military wife for 41 years to Robert Litton. They lived in multiple states on the east coast due to his military service stations but planted their final roots in Norfolk, Virginia. Dale was a fighter, with no challenge being too tough and never backing down. She was inspirational, independent, stubborn, persistent, classy, sassy, comical, smart, self educated, wise, and direct. She never met any acquaintance of her siblings, children or grandchildren that didn't quickly become part of her extended family. She had the biggest heart and was always ready to give a hug and a cup of coffee to those who needed it. She'd also give you an earful if she felt you needed.
