Daniel Roy Nichols Sr., 65, of Pekin passed away at 7:56 am Friday, February 17, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side.
He was born September 17, 1951 in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Roy and Eva Bennet Nichols. He married Jody Cornwell in 1979. He later married Sharon Bourchez.
Daniels is survived by his children, Matthew Nichols of AZ, Daniel Nichols Jr. and James Nichols both of Pekin, Shanda Depew of CA, Tabitha Nichols and Danielle Nichols both of Pekin; and 10 grandchildren.
He worked as a material operator at Caterpillar until his retirement in 1977.
Daniel was a Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of AMVETS # 235.
Graveside services will be at 12:30 pm Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Antioch Cemetery in Tremont. Visitation will be from 10:00 -12:00 pm at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home on Wednesday February 22, 2017. Pastor Emil Bouchez will officiate.
