Daniel Siracusa Sr., 90, of South Windsor, formerly of Staten Island, Beloved husband of Marie Datello, passed away on November 9th, 2017 at Vernon Manor after a brief illness, surrounded by loving family.
He was born May 15, 1927 in Staten Island, New York to Luciano Siracusa and Carmella Blandino.
He graduated and attended New Dorp High School. Mr. Siracusa was a Professional Baseball Player with the NY Giants and self employed as a cement mason/ contractor. He was a proud veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a loving father devoted to his family, always baking, cooking, available for guidance and quick with a smile. He enjoyed fishing for striped bass and blue fish and spent most of his time at the beach. He will be most remembered for his gentleness, kindness, generosity and warm smile. He loved to cook and make small furniture and wooden knick knacks, most notably for his exquisite bird houses. He was also an avid gardener and plant lover.

In addition to his wife Marie of 32 years, he is survived by his sons, Daniel Siracusa and his daughter in law Wendy of Vernon, Connecticut; Steven Siracusa and his wife Karen of South Windsor, Connecticut; Grandchildren, Melissa Conforto and her husband, Mike; Mia Siracusa and her fianc Brian Williams; Lauren Carchidi and her husband, Nick; Matthew Siracusa and his wife, Meghan ; Jamie Siracusa and Jacob Siracusa; Great Grandchildren, Matthew Williams; Ellie Conforto and Miles Conforto; Skylar Carchidi, Lucy Siracusa, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Clemente, Stephen and John; and his sister Josephine.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday November 20, 2017 at 10 Am from the Church of the Living God 199 Deming St. Manchester, CT. Visitation will be on Sunday November 19th, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain.
