Danny Allen Wiles, 64, resident of High Point, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital.
A resident of North Carolina most of his life, Danny was born on November 9, 1953 in Rockingham County, a son of the late Linwood and Avis Wiles. For many years, he had worked as a truck driver alongside his wife and later worked for Harris Teeter.
He was a lover of all music. Danny was an accomplished musician and it seemed as if there wasn't an instrument he couldn't play. He was most passionate about playing the guitar and enjoyed playing and singing with his son Mark and father-in-law, "Old Daddy In Law", Irvin Reagan.
Danny was a strong Christian who lived his life to serve the Lord. Whenever he felt the Holy Spirit, you would know because he would often yell out, "Praise God!" when the Lord lead him to.
He was known for his sense of humor and always putting his family first. No matter who he came into contact with, he always looked for the best in everyone. Anywhere Danny went, he could always strike up a conversation and quickly become friends with others.
Danny was a proud American who loved his country. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army.
Christmas was Danny's favorite time of year. It is only fitting that he gets to spend Christmas in heaven this year.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Wright and Marlena Martin; and brothers, Linwood Lee Wiles, Jr. and Johnny Wiles.
Surviving are his wife of over 32 years, Sandy Reagan Wiles of the home; son, Mark Wiles and wife Shanna of Thomasville; daughter, Terri Wiles of Mt. Airy; four grandchildren, Abby, Mason, Caleb, and Braydon; three sisters, Kathie Lea of Eden, Melissa Economos of Eden, and Madonna Durham of Rockingham County; dogs, Nacho and Lexi; and birds, Daisy and Nibbles.
A celebration of Danny's life will be held at 3 pm Saturday, Dec. 23 in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Downing officiating. Military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until 3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Thomasville Funeral Home is assisting the family.
