Darlene Lacharite Hixson, 54, passed from this life Monday, May 25, 2015 while surrounded by her family at her home in Goodman.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm Friday, May 29, 2015 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Memorial services will follow at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel.

She was born Monday, December 12, 1960 in Greenville, Mississippi, a daughter of the late John Estes Graves and Dorothy Welborn Graves.

Darlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all of those she loved. She enjoyed working in her yard, growing flowers and vegetables, and enjoyed her animals, but her favorite times were spent with her beloved family.

Survivors include husband, Rob Hixson; daughters, Millie Cook (Justin Putnam), Megan McGuire (Matthew) and Rebecca Hixson; son, Daniel VanderWaag; sisters, Debbie Brown, Jo Hanberry and Lynn Stevenson; grandchildren, Austin Putnam, Kylee Putnam, Me'ah Moreno and Silas McGuire; niece, Taylor Jackson; and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
