Heart Emblem

Darrell Eugene Collins, Jr., of Apache Junction, died on February 3th, 2021, after a brief illness.

He was born August 18, 1947 in Ross County Ohio to the late Darrell Eugene Collins, Sr and Clarabell Chaney Collins. He married Norma Kay Collins on July 23, 1966, who died on February 4th, 2021. Darrell has two surviving children, Brian D. Collins, Tina M. Collins and two grandchildren Gage (Lexi) and Maddy, who he loved so deeply. Darrell also had 5 siblings, Wayne, Bob, Jimmy and Mary.

Darrell was extremely handy and really enjoyed jumping in to help on projects. He had a heart of gold. His smile was infectious and he was always learning and planning adventures. In Arizona they enjoyed the outdoors and made another entire family of friends. Darrell so loved being a grandfather and anyone he met pretty much felt the pride he had in Gage and Maddy. Dad and Maddy had a connection like no other from the very first minute he laid eyes on her. He would talk about what a great and hard working man Gage has grown up to be and was so proud. He loved us all fiercely. Mom and dad came home in June and dad was so diligent about visiting people, he said he wanted to do it while he was able to enjoy them. Today please take a minute to remember Darrell and his love of adventure and life.

Respecting his wishes there will not be a service.
