David Alfred Stadalnik, age 77, of Old Saybrook, formerly of Ivoryton, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Lindner) Stadalnik for 52 years. He was born on June 29, 1940 in New Haven to Alfred F. and Marion (Dzindzaleta) Stadalnik. David was a native of Branford and will be remembered as a great athlete, having a tremendous sense of humor, and being the first member of his family to graduate from college. He played basketball at UCONN where he earned his degree in Accounting. He met his wife while working at Armstrong Rubber Company and raised three loving children. David was the Director of Accounting Operations at Pirelli Tire Company before retiring at the age of 49. He drove his family crazy with all his free time so he went back to work for a few years as the Treasurer of Briarwood College. He will lovingly be remembered as a devoted father who spent countless hours playing sports with his children. Besides his beloved wife Nancy, he leaves his son Brian (Deborah) of Ivoryton, his two daughters, Susan Quatrano (RJ) of Deep River and Cindy Munawar (Imran) also of Deep River, and his grandson Zack. David was predeceased by his brother Harold. A memorial service will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:00AM.
