David served our country proudly in the Air Force and retiring in the Army with the rank of SP6/E6.

When David was not busy mentoring his family you might find him fishing, gardening or working on a woodworking project. He was a nurturer of all living things. There was not a time in his life that he did not think of others first. He did not have a selfish bone in his body. David was also a good story teller and full of humor, the kind of guy that everyone wanted to be around. The good thing about a good storyteller is that you never really know for sure if the story is being embellished. His favorite place to be in the world would be outdoors. David loved fishing, camping, starting camp fires and saving his cigarettes. David will be missed, but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to a charity of your choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors.
