David McDonald Price (Don) of Wilmington, NC passed away peacefully at Lower Cape Fear
Hospice on Jan 16, 2018. He was born in Selma, NC on March 20, 1930 to parents David &
Isabelle Price.

Our daddy, he is loved. He is a man of wisdom and strength, of courage and sacrifice. He has an unwavering belief in the Lord of God, and that through him he would have everlasting life and peace. Dad had a successful business, TideWater Drywall that spanned for many years, his footprint is in many of the homes and businesses throughout Wilmington and other areas. Many builders called on him knowing that if dad was doing the job, the job would be done to perfection. He was proud of his work and his dedication always went above and beyond. Dad enjoyed flowers and gardening, this is where he spent most of his time. Every spring he had a spectacular show with beautiful flowers and vegetables. He loved poetry, reading and watching old Turner Classic movies. Dad loved to travel and learn about different cultures and just really enjoyed talking with others and having good conversation. We all know daddy loved to talk, he would sometimes do so much that he would lose his voice. We realize those stories were bits and pieces of his life, his puzzle, they were important to him and important for him to share. Dads mind was very keen and numbers rolled off like yesteryears were yesterday's. He didn't forget much and didn't hesitate to use these as teaching moments.

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his wife Ruth, daughter Diane Wessell (grandson Robert) & sister Fran Sullivan.

David is survived by his daughters Donna Walters (James Sullivan), Deborah Millard (Randy), Kathy (Ronnie Finucan), Deb Loding, Patricia Britt and Vickie Hogan (Shannon). Paul Parish and Sean Lynge.
