He resided in Texas, Arizona, and Colorado where he built his first home in Aurora and then bought his dream home in Evergreen at the base of the mountains he loved. He was a "mountain man" and loved exploring old mines and places that were in isolated areas and far from civilization. David had a vast knowledge of mining and ores, which was one of his passions. He also loved skiing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, motorcycles, 4 wheeling, playing his guitars, and his huge collection of music. Wherever his life took him, his beloved cat "Ty" was always at his side.
