Delbert C. Perry, 62, of Creola, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 at his residence. He was born December 17, 1947 in Creola, son of the late Alfred and Mary Ervin Perry. Delbert was technician for Kenworth, a Vietnam Army Veteran and a member of the AMVETS in Wellston. He is survived by sons, Delbert (PJ) Perry Jr. of Columbus, Georgia, Joshua Perry of Logan and Jakob V. Poggemoeller of Creola; daughters, Kendra Perry of Logan and Chelsey "Ali" Perry of Londonderry; ten grandchildren; brothers, Bryan Perry and Texas Alfred Perry both of Florida and numerous nieces and nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Miller and a granddaughter, Erra Lynn Adkins. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, August 5, 2010 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Douglas Stull officiating. Interment will be in the Perry Family Cemetery, Creola, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299.
