Denis Hayes Rodimer Jr.,41, of Clearwater , died unexpectedly at home on December 17, 2017. His death was the result of a tragic, unfortunate slip and fall accident.

Denny was born October 30, 1976 and lived in Rockaway, NJ until he moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida. He received his degree from The Warrington College of Business. He was a loyal Gator fan. He was a proud member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. His career as an Actuary suited his intelligence and desire for challenge.

Denny was an amazing person. He had a great singing voice and often entertained with his Elvis repertoire. He was a natural on stage and loved performing. He embraced everything in his life with exuberance and passion, from his faith in God to cooking, traveling, reading, cheering for the N.Y. Giants, golfing, backgammon, but most of all he cherished his family and friends.

Denny’s life touched many, his parents Denis Sr. and Terry, his “little brother” Daniel and baby sister Rebecca Cirrinicione. He never thought of Peter or Sarah as “in-laws” but only as another brother and sister. He was the first grandchild of John and Dorothy Sherbuk of Clearwater, and also has a grandmother, Julia Rodimer in Newton, NJ. He had a very special place in his heart for his Godfather Stephen Sherbuk (Deb) and his Godmother Elaine Stroppel. The love of his life was always his wife, Robyn Shipp.

He adored his precious Goddaughters, Valentine Rodimer and Sophie Shipp, and equally his nieces and nephews Violet, Ella, Bella, Sylas, Attice, P.J., Dalton and J.J.

He learned so much by example from his great Uncles Bishop Frank Rodimer and John Rodimer (Aunt MaryLou) as he grew up in Rockaway. He enjoyed every moment with his Uncles John Sherbuk (Madeline) and Frank and Richard (Lori) Rodimer. Watching his younger cousins grow up gave him immense pleasure. Chrissy, Jacqueline, Lauren and Wesley Sherbuk, Frank, Jenny, Matt, Michael and Tyler Rodimer, Taryn and Jason Harrison. His older Rodimer cousins taught him so much - from games to sports and the true meaning of family.

His Chiodo, Cirrinicione, Veinger and Shipp families were equally loved. Greg, Al, Johnnie B and his fraternity brothers were special, as well as his friends at Two-Buks, Denny had a lot of room in his heart.

We like to think Denny is now forever in his favorite place, New Orleans, or on a beautiful golf course (hitting straight) or singing with Elvis at Graceland.

Some may not notice, but with Denny’s passing the sunlight seems a little dimmer, the stars don’t shine quite as bright and the music seems a little off. Perhaps, in time, his vibrancy and unique energy will bring back the missing sparkle.
