Dolores Polanco Ibarra departed this life to be with our Lord & Savior and her family in Heaven on January 21, 2018. She was born a fraternal twin on February 4, 1920 in Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Amado Ibarra, the love of her life, in 1948. They were very happily married until his untimely and unfortunate passing in 1973. They had one child, a daughter, born in 1953 who they loved dearly. They enjoyed traveling and were members of several social organizations in Houston, Texas.
She attended Immaculate Heart of Mary and later became a member of Gulf Meadows Church where she worshipped for many years. She graduated from College in Mexico and became a teacher. She furthered her education in the United States and received a Bachelor's in World History. She was a book keeper for a large corporation and also a radio station. She later began a career with Avon where she made the Presidents Club due to her continuous high sales. She continued her career with Avon for 40+ years even after she began working for the Harris County Court District. She retired from HCCD in 2008 when she was 87 yrs. old. She was very active, patriotic, and involved in politics. She loved flowers, had a green thumb and had a beautiful garden. She loved music, dancing, and her family.
Dolores was blessed to live nearly the last decade of her life with her beloved daughter and son in law. She was fortunate enough to live with her family, where her every need was met and she lived a happy and comfortable life. She is preceded by her parents Vincent and Maria Dolores Polanco. Siblings: Celia Chacon, her twin brother Vincent Polanco, and Cecilia Navarro. Succeeded by daughter, Celeste I. Rivera and Tom. Grandchildren: Celeste Annette Beaty and Bryan, Eric A. Rivera, Mindy Rivera, Ryan Rivera and Sandra. Great-grandchildren: Aliya, Eric, Devyn, Aiden, Kevin, Selah, and Dylan.
Her Family was her Life and she was ours!
