Dominic Michael Coletto died peacefully in his home, held by his loving wife and daughters on Tuesday, December 26th, 2017 after a fearless fight with cancer. While cancer took his life, it never beat him and he fought it every day, with everything he had, for almost two years.

Dominic was born on May 12th, 1962 in Hillside, Illinois. He graduated in 1980 from Westmont High School where he wrestled and quarterbacked the football team. In 1984, he graduated from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois with a Bachelors of Arts in Marketing and started on a successful career in sales and sales leadership. He was married on October 28th, 1989 to his bright and shining light, Rosemarie Sweeney. They moved to Coppell, Texas in 1999, where they built a life and raised their three daughters, Danielle Marie, Alyssa Nicole and Olivia Rose.

Dominic was employed as an Executive Vice President for Hermann International. He was an avid hiker whose passion was hiking the Appalachian Trail every spring with his great friend, Gary Owens and others. He loved to run, was a devoted friend (see one friend's tribute below) and had a passion for life, great food, wine and Kentucky bourbon. He had an active, creative mind and started several small businesses. Even while battling cancer, he was always thinking of new business models to develop.

He spent his time with his family and loved to watch movies and football with his girls and by his own count, had been to over 200 dance recitals/cheer competitions. He was a devout Catholic and longtime active parishioner at St. Ann Catholic Parish in Coppell. He served as a pre-school and middle school religious education teacher and helped lead the church as a member of the Pastoral Parish Council. He was a passionate and involved member of St Ann CHRP Team 14 and for several years, gave back by assisting other CHRP teams, in various parishes in the area, with their own renewal weekends.

He is survived by the love of his life Rosemarie, daughters Danielle Marie, Alyssa Nicole and Olivia Rose, all of Coppell, Texas; parents Michael and Helene, brothers Frank (Mary) of Lombard, Illinois and Michael (Lori) of Lisle, Illinois, and nieces Alex, Julia, Courtney and Stephanie. He will join his treasured mother-in-law, Rita Sweeney in heaven.

Dominic fought his disease with energy, passion and determination. He was joined in his fight by Raven Ratan, MD and other physicians and nurses from MD Anderson and Texas Oncology-Irving. He was appreciative of the loving and compassionate care he received from all his nurses and was especially appreciative of the nurses at Texas Oncology-Irving. His wife and family would like to extend a special thanks to all his caregivers, family and friends, who joined them in his fight.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 3rd from 6-8 PM with a Rosary at 7 at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home, 400 Freeport Parkway, Coppell, Texas. His life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass, Thursday, January 4th at 2 PM with a reception following at St Ann Catholic Parish, 180 Samuel Blvd., Coppell, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dominic's honor to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center; https://gifts.mdanderson.org, giving@mdanderson.org, 855.901.05576.
