HUTTON, Donald C., Jr. Donald C. Hutton, Jr., 59, of Tolland, husband of Christine K. (Koval) Hutton, passed peacefully Monday, (April 10, 2006) at his home. Born on November 22, 1946 in Maspeth Queens, NY, he was the son of Joan (Powell) Hutton of Ellington and the late Donald C. Hutton Sr. He was a loving father, grandfather and caring husband. A long time lover of the outdoors, he shared that love with his sons as well as through his long time association with Boy Scouts. He was an Eagle Scout and continued to live his life by the values of scouting. He loved canoeing and camping and led scout trips to Maine for 20 years. He was also a hockey coach for 20 plus years through both ECHO and Rockville High School. As the owner of Earthworks Landscaping, he employed and influenced many young men through the last 25 years. He will be remembered for his countless hours of volunteering and the generosity with which he shared his time with all of those whose lives he touched. Don enjoyed playing golf with his family and friends. He loved reading and learning and shared his passion for both with his family. Don always preached the value of education and himself earned a degree in economics from Stony Brook University and a MBA from C.W. Post University. He is survived by his mother, Joan; wife, Christine; son, Jim; daughter-in-law, Kristen and granddaughter, Molly; his son, Doug, daughter-in-law, Kimberly and grandsons, Riley and Dylan; his son, Todd and daughter-in-law, Sarah; brother, Jeff; his sister-in-law, Diane; niece, Susan and nephew, Kevin; his brother-in-law, Robert Strohmenger; and niece, Jaime. He was also predeceased by his sister, Pamela Strohmenger. Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 15 at 10 a.m. at the United Congregational Church of Tolland, 45 Tolland Green, Tolland. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Friday, April 14 from 5-8 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd. (Rte. 83), Vernon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Donald's name may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Troop #15 of Tolland, c/o Stephanie Quick, 64 Pepperwood Dr., Tolland, CT 06084.
