Donald Calvin Eager, 90, of Gilcrest passed away March 7, 2016 at his home. He was born in Tillamook, Oregon on June 13, 1925 to John and Anna Birdie (Kieling) Eager.

As a child, Donald lived in Tillamook. In the early 1930's the family moved to Pierce. His mother passed away on June 12, 1933. Donald helped his father on the family farm and milked 13 cattle before going to school each day. He attended school in Keenesburg. After his education, he continued to help his father on the farm.

He was a member of Bethel Family Praise Center in Eaton for 18 years until his health started to fail.

Donald entered the U.S. Navy serving in the Pacific Theater aboard a minesweeper during WWII. After his discharge, he lived in Washington for a short time. He then returned to Colorado. He worked in construction most of his life.

Donald married Marjorie Glover on June 3, 1947 in Bremerton, Washington. They were married 42 years and later divorced.

Donald is survived by his children Constance "Connie" Dawn Carter of Bentonville, Arkansas, Timothy (Sherry) Eager of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Steven (Marigean) Eager of Gilcrest; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Ruby Glover.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2016 at Bethel Family Praise Center in Eaton, Colorado. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 11, 2016 at Linn Grove Cemetery.
