Donald Gene Livingston, 88, of Glasford, passed away at 10:10 am on November 19, 2017 at his home surrounded by family.

He was born September 30, 1929 in Peoria to Henry and Elizabeth (Pitsch) Livingston. He married Judy Huser June 25, 1965 in Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sons, Terry, Scott and Brad, two brothers, Robert and Henry “Bud”, three sisters, Marian, Joanne and Janet and one granddaughter, Allison.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife Judy of Glasford; daughter Lori Reimer and son Dr. Quoc (Lieu) Giang; one sister, Sally Farrell; 13 grandchildren, Thomas (Tammy), Emily, Brendan, Ryan (Brandi), Heather (Nathan), Jodi, Laurie (Nathan), Keith (Tracey), Nathan (Katlyn), Matthew,Calla,Myla,and Kaira; and 17 great-grandchildren; Dylan, Michael, Lily, Owen, Olivia, Emma, Madilyn, Oliver, Raegan, Kylie, Veronica, Alexia, Kelsi, Kaleb, Anabelle, Knox and Sawyer.

Don ran Don’s Local Pub in Glasford for two years, then he worked as an Iron worker for several years. He was also the owner and operator of Livingston Texaco in Peoria and worked last at Caterpillar Inc. until retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Glasford, UAW Local 974, Masonic Lodge # and a member of the consistory. Don loved to work with wood and he referred to himself as a “Wood Craftsman”.

A visitation will be at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Glasford on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 3 to 6 pm and will resume Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 9 am until the time of the service at St. Peter Lutheran Church. A service will be Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 10:00 am at the church. The Rev. Harlan Kaden will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
