The son of Tom and Elaine Houlihan and Esther Houlihan,
Don was born on April 8, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois.
He was blessed with a wonderful step-mother after the passing of his mother at the age of 12.
He was united in marriage to Linda Louise Pollgreen on April 21, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
They were blessed to be married for 52 years.

Don graduated from Calumet High School in Chicago, Illinois on June 27, 1952,
honorably served in the United States Navy from 1955-1957 aboard the USS Esteem, a wooden minesweeper, and received his AA degree from Citrus College in Citrus, California.
He worked for Standard Oil as a Station Manager and Chevron as a Forklift Operator for 40 years.

He attended Calvary Chapel Golden Springs with his family. He especially enjoyed the music at the beginning of the services but would always say "that was a good message" when leaving after service. He loved the Lord, his family, and friends. He loved talking with, family, friends, and complete strangers. This quote reminds us of our dad,
"A man proves his greatness by the power to see reasons to be thankful in his life."
He found and brought great joy into the lives of all who knew him.
Don was kind, generous, patient, loyal, faithful, and committed to his family and friends.
He enjoyed sports, especially rooting for his California Angels, camping, and reading the newspaper.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Houlihan, West Covina, CA, 3 children, LynAnn (Wes) Moore, Tecumseh, OK, Louise-Ann Houlihan, West Covina, CA, Donie Houlihan, Yorba Linda, CA;
3 loving grandchildren, Laura, Samantha, and Alysha, 2 great-grandchildren, Sumur and Levi;
