Donna Frances Byargeon, age 76, died on February, 12th, 2017, in Newport, Oregon.She is survived by her son, William Preston Byargeon, married to Karen Doti with 3 sons, Duncan, Erik, and Jared, of Bellevue Washington, and daughter,Leslie Melissa Lauretta, married to Joseph Lauretta of Otis, Oregon, with 1 daughter together, Jasmine, and 3 sons from husband's previous marriage, Dante, Nick and Matthew Lauretta.

She was born on February, 27, 1940 in Glendale, CA, to parents Lester Welles and Frances "Kitty" Pendleton. She graduated from West Phoenix High school in 1957. She was a loving mother. She married Billy Jean Byargeon at The Wayfarer Chapel in PaloVerde, California June 1, 1962. The couple had 2 children together and 2children from Bill's first marriage, Bill Byargeon Junior and Frieda Byargeon.They had a total of 9 grandchildren and many more great grandchildren that they loved dearly.

She was asocial, active woman who was deeply involved in serving her community. She managed the Lincoln City Food Pantry as a volunteer for approximately 10 years,a debilitating injury kept her from continuing after 2008. She was most proud of the fact that several years in a row, she was able to give a turkey to every family that came into the Lincoln City Food Pantry. She was always involved in volunteering in her community majority of her life. She loved to cook, play games, watch game shows and cooking shows. She was proud of her title as the "CakeLady" locally, keeping track of workers from local businesses, banks, anyone he met that she liked, so she could make her famous Bundt cake for their birthday.

She lived in many states, (California, Arizona, Nevada, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama,Texas, Florida and North Carolina, as well as Iran for 18 months because of husbands work and loved meeting new people and learning recipes from grandmothers. During that time, she worked as apartment manager, book keeper,restaurant manager and for IGT as a slot technician. Her family and friends will always remember her as a strong willed, independent, but mostly a kind a generous person.

A memorial service will be arranged in the spring, no date set yet. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Donna Byargeon's life. A Facebook announcement will be setup when arrangements are made celebrating the Love and Life of Donna and Bill Byargeon, married 53 years, residing in Otis, Oregon for the last 18 plus years.
