Lunenburg – Mrs. Dora M. (Vautour) Robichaud, of Lunenburg, formerly of Waltham, died Monday, August 16, 2021 at her home. She was 92.

Born in Acadieville, New Brunswick on January 18, 1929, Dora was one of sixteen children born to the late Joseph and Eugenie (Bordage) Vautour. She was raised in Acadieville and moved to the United States during the 1950's. She settled in Waltham where she had been a resident until a move brought her to Lunenburg three years ago.

She had worked more than twenty-five years at the Marriot Hotel in Newton, first as a beautician in their salon, and later as a banquet waitress. Dora was also a longtime hairdresser at Weston Manor Nursing Home where she made many friends among patients and staff.

Dora and her family were longtime parishioners at Saint Joseph's Church on Main Street. There she was a faithful communicant and an active participant in the Woman's Auxiliary and was also a proud member of the French-American Victory Club. In later years she enjoyed attending events and being a part of the Waltham Senior Center and later the Lunenburg Senior Center.

She was the wife of the late Alyre J. Robichaud.

Dora leaves her children, Pauline M. LeBlanc of Plymouth, Robert J. Robichaud of Sudbury and Louise M. Howell (Paul) of Lunenburg; her grandchildren, Jennifer Creed (James), Eric Robichaud, Christina Howell, Nicole Richardson (Kevin) and Paul 'PJ' Howell (Kayla); her great-grandchildren, Brianna and Camden Creed, Aubrielle and Logan Richardson, Freya, Braelyn and Lincoln Ludvigsen and Lillian and Mason Paul Howell; her brothers and sisters, Roger, Robert, Norbert and Fernand Vautour, Jeanette Babineau, Silvina Vienneau, Yvette Gallant and Rita Melanson and many nieces, nephews and their families.

She was also the grandmother of the late Michelle Robichaud; mother-in-law of the late Kenneth LeBlanc and a sister of the late Arsene, Laurie, Leo, Emile, Paul, George and Yvonne Vautour.

Family and friends will honor and remember Dora's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, August 23rd from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
