Doris Brown left peacefully

with her Angels on Saturday

Nov 18. She was born August

4, 1930 in Hamburg, Iowa to

Earl and Martha (Armstrong)

Kingery. Doris graduated from

Hamburg High School

in 1948. Doris married

Elson (Bill) W. Brown on

July 11, 1948 in Hamburg,

IA. Doris and Bill moved to

Kansas City, MO in 1952,

living in the Grain Valley–

Oak Grove area.

Doris was a Tax Examiner

and Supervisor for the

Internal Revenue Service

until her retirement. She

was a member of New

Liberty Baptist Church for

over 50 years while serving

as Secretary. Later in life she

attended Blue Springs Baptist

Church Keenagers. She was a

member of the Pueblo

Club, Unpredictable AVS,

Sho Me AVC, Mid America

AVS, AVC of Greater

Kansas City, Missouri

Valley AVC, AVS of America

and the Heart of America

Gesneriad Society. She

spent decades tenderly

caring for, Loving, showing

and selling African Violets.

Doris also loved collecting

Angels, Santas, Ty Beanie

Babies and several other

figurines. Most of all, she

shared with everyone, “And

remember God Loves You”.

She was preceded in Death

by her parents Earl and

Martha Kingery, grand-

daughter Audra Layne

Doty, her husband of 51

years Bill Brown and her

daughter Kathie Sue (Brown)

Richard. She is survived by

her son-in-law Dale Richard,

her son and daughter-in-

law Bill and Candy Brown,

her daughter and son-in-law

Sandie and Larry Doty, her

son and daughter-in-law

SFC(R) Ed Brown and Kathy

Ryken, her daughter and

son-in-law Martha and

Randy Fritsche, her grand-

children Duane and wife

Lisa, Karen, Luci and

Husband Brian, William

and Wife Sara, Robyn and

Husband Chris, Landon,

Troy, Chase, Lindsey,

Amanda and Husband

Stephen, Zachary, great

grandchildren Dalton,

Dylan, Elizabeth, Nora,

Hana, Kaylee, Royal,

Ariana, Chloe, Kiera,

Lincoln and soon arriving


Visitation is on Wednesday,

Nov 22, 2017 from 10:00 AM

to 11:00 AM. The Funeral

Service will follow at 11:00

AM at New Liberty Baptist

Church. Burial will be after

at the Floral Hills Cemetery.
