Dorothy Ann Reynolds, 91, of East Granby, beloved wife for 54 years of the late Donald Robert Reynolds, passed away peacefully on Monday, (December 30, 2013) at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. Born in Quincy, MA on April 18, 1922, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (McDonough) Wetzler, she was raised in Quincy, MA and had lived in Cheshire for many years before moving to the Pittsburgh, PA area, and then to Granby and East Granby in 1981. Dorothy was an avid bowler and belonged to leagues in Cheshire and Windsor Locks for many years. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and watching sports, especially the Boston Red Sox, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the UConn Women's Basketball team. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Therese Church in Granby. She leaves two sons, Greg Reynolds and his fiancé Debbie Chase of Meriden, and Robert Reynolds and his wife Diane of Wolcott; a daughter, Susan Reynolds of Hartford; five grandchildren, Matthew Reynolds and his wife Carlee of Bristol, Renee Hastings and her husband Kevin of Southington, Michael Reynolds and his wife Micka of Waterbury, Michelle Cloutier of Hartford, and Phillip Cloutier of Hartford; and seven great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Wetzler; and a sister, Eleanor Gallagher. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 8:30-9:30 a.m., at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby, followed by a Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., at St. Therese Church, Granby. Burial will follow in Granby Cemetery, Granby.
