Dorothy M. Ganger, 96, of Potsdam, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville. She was born April 25, 1919 to the late Bert & Goldie (Miller) Shellabarger in Miami County, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irven C. Ganger.
She will be missed and remembered by her son and daughter-in-law Larry (Connie) Ganger of New Paris; granddaughter Zonja (Dan) Enis; great-granddaughters Natasha & Tayla Enis; and great-great-granddaughter Autumn.
Dorothy was a member of Potsdam United Methodist Church where she played the piano for over 60 years. She was a 1937 graduate of Milton-Union High School and also enjoyed sewing.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Potsdam United Methodist Church, 12 S. Main St., Potsdam, with Pastor Pam Hitchcock officiating. Burial will follow at Potsdam Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Potsdam UMC or the Milton-Union Alumni Association. Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton. Online memories of Dorothy may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
