Dorothy Shaffer, 86, of Brady Lake, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at her home.

She was born October 7, 1925 in Bell Township, PA to Howard and Ada (Lee) Lamoreau. Dorothy was a member of the Lake Brady United Methodist Church, United Methodist Church of Lavaca, AR and the Lavaca, AR Senior Citizens. She participated in the Senior Olympics and medaled in Fort Smith, AR.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Shaffer, whom she married on June 29, 1946; sons, Laney (Becky) Shaffer of Barling, AR, Gary (Nancy) Shaffer of Lavaca, AR, Terry (Lina) Shaffer of Bella Vista, AR; daughter, Karen (Earl) Krebs of Brady Lake; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sisters, Luella Bennett of Mahaffey, PA and Sara Roberto of Emporium, PA. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence and Clair Lamoreau; sisters, Charlotte Lee and Ruby Lamoreau; and great granddaughter, Ashlee Stamper.

Private funeral services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to First Methodist Lavaca, P.O. Box 287, 302 West Columbus, Lavaca, AR 72941. Bissler & Sons Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.
