Mr. Edgar Lamar Wigley, 72, of Clinton, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center after a long battle with heart problems. Visitation will be Saturday at 1:00 pm followed by services at 2:30 pm all at Wright and Ferguson in Clinton.

Mr. Wigley was born March 23, 1941 in Yazoo County but Clinton had been home for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during the Berlin Conflict and he was active in the Clinton Masonic Lodge. As a member of the Palestine Baptist Church in Raymond, now known as High Pointe Baptist, he had served as Sunday school superintendent, Chairman of the Deacons and he sang in the choir. He loved his church and served it faithfully. He was owner of Wigley Plumbing, Heating and Electrical for over 20 years and he was retired from Clorox Company. An outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie B. and Janie Wigley; two brothers, Willie L. and Nathan Wigley; and a grandson, Joseph Jennings. His survivors include his wife, Janie Wigley, and on the 22nd of June they would have celebrated 52 years together; two daughters, Darlene Jennings (Dusty) of Raymond and Laurie Enlow of Mendenhall; two brothers, Wilburn Wigley of Vicksburg and Roy Wigley of Mendenhall; a sister, Barbara Purvis; four grandchildren, Adam Jennings, Christopher Enlow (Megan), Johnathan Enlow, and Dyan Bowen (Matt); and four great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ava Jennings; and Kaelen and Mylah Enlow; he is also survived by a very special nephew, Roger Wigley.
