Edith M. Bowman, 80, of Kipton, died at Gaymont Nursing Home in Norwalk on Sunday morning.
She was born December 8, 1930, in Berlin Heights, Ohio to the late Charles and Mabel (Longyear) Ritz.
Edith and her husband Harold owned a farm in Kipton where they raised chickens and ran an egg route. She also worked as a nurse's aide for Welcome Nursing Home for 19 years. Edith was a Girl Scout leader and taught Sunday school for Grace Lutheran Church in Oberlin, where she was a member.
Survivors include her daughters Laurel Bowman of Amherst, Linda (Buggs) Butler of Wakeman, her sisters Mary Lou Schultz of Delaware, Oh, and brother Clarence (Jeanette) Ritz of Titusville, FL, as well as 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her parents Charles and Mable (Longyear) Ritz, her brother John Ritz, son Dean Bowman, and granddaughter Stacey Bowman.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. Rev. Chuck Livermore will be officiating. Burial will follow at Camden Cemetery.
