Edna A. Gdula, age 87, formerly of Burkettsville, Ohio, died 3:08 AM on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, Ohio. She was born September 06, 1923 in Cranberry OH to Rudolph & Frances (Koesters) VanDenBosch. On October 03, 1942 she married John Gdula in Dayton, Ohio, and he died March 26, 1987. Edna is survived by three daughters, Michele (George) Dillhoff of Vandalia, Ohio, Marcia (Ronald) Hein of Dayton, Ohio and Phyllis Nieter of Union, Ohio, twelve grandchildren: Coy (Judith) Dillhoff, Jacqui Dillhoff, Nicole (Craig) Harestad and Kyle Dillhoff, Eric (Sara) Hein, Renee (Andrew) Potter, Meredith (Chris) Snider, Anthony (Scarlet) Nieter, Jack Nieter, John (Kristin) Nieter, Denise (Kory) Kruse and Danielle Nieter, sixteen great- grandchildren: Cortney and Keltonn Dillhoff, Cooper, Gage and Mia Harestad, Noah and Alex Hein, Jackson and Emma Kate Potter, Clayton, Connor and Collin Snider, Sophia and Raquel Nieter, Evan and Elizabeth Nieter, and a brother Carl (Donna) VanDenBosch of Coldwater, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother Earl VanDenBosch and three sisters, Marie Tobe, Esther Wehrkamp-Wolfe and Cleo Pettijean. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, Ohio and the Ladies Rosary Altar Sodality of the church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, April 25, 2011 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, OH. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Burkettsville Ohio. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-St. Henry on Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Condolences may be left at
