Edna Flicker Isacs, age 88, wife of the late Herman Isacs III, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late W. Raymond Flicker and Gertrude Hope Flicker. Mr. Flicker was the President and Publisher of The Bridgeport Post, Telegram and Sunday Post, which was founded by his father and where Mrs. Isacs served as a Director for many years. Mrs. Isacs was a lifelong resident of Fairfield who spent her final few years in Goshen, CT. She was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield and Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY. She is survived by her four devoted children: Ellin Isacs Epifano and her husband Edward of Fairfield, John H. Isacs and his partner Katherine Tao of Taipei, Taiwan, Peter Isacs and his wife Nadine Keller of Goshen, Mary-Hope Isacs Chauvirey and her husband Laurent of New York City. She is also survived by her five cherished grandchildren:Ted Epifano of New York City, Jamie Epifano of San Francisco, Peter Keller Isacs of Goshen, Christopher Bennett Isacs of Goshen, Annabel Louise Chauvirey, of New York City and her many, loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Isacs was predeceased by her beloved four sisters: Gertrude Flicker Gould, Ruth Flicker, Mary Louise Flicker Larrabee, Norma Flicker Brewer. She also is survived by her dog, Lilly, and is predeceased by her many adored pets. She will be lovingly remembered for her tremendous warmth, generosity and compassion. Friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 10th at 12:30 PM directly in the Faith Community Chapel at St. Pius X Parish, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Her interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and The Connecticut Humane Society.
