Edward Charles Nollman, Jr., 88, of Cromwell, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2016 at Covenant Village in Cromwell, CT. He was born in Stamford CT, son of the late Edward Charles and Marcella (Fawcett) Nollman. He graduated from Hall High School and Hillyer College in West Hartford. He resided in Glastonbury for many years before moving to Covenant Village in Cromwell in 2015. Before his retirement in 1988, Ed was employed by The Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford for 44 years. He coached Little League baseball and basketball in Glastonbury for a number of years, volunteered for Meals On Wheels and supported the American Red Cross blood drives, donating over 25 gallons. He proudly served in the Connecticut National Guard for 9 years. In 1952 he married the late Roberta (Plourd) Nollman, who passed away in 1985. Ed married Bertha (Graves) Nollman in 1991, celebrating 25 years of marriage this year. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Bruce E. Nollman of Tolland, his daughter Kathryn G. Nollman of Newington, and grandson Braedyn Nollman of Newington and a brother Robert Nollman of South Windsor.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 5PM-7PM at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tpke. Glastonbury, CT 06033. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Saturday, July 30, followed by A Celebration of Ed's life at 10AM, at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
