Edward Dale "Ned" Sutton, 64, passed away March 9, 2012. Survived by his wife of ten wonderful years, Kathy; father, Jess; sons, Nick and Shane; daughters, Dawn (Mike) Joffroy and Amber (Shane Nevins); stepsons, Joe (Riss) Gonzales and Jason (Angel) Gonzales; brothers, Rick (Rachel) and Jeff; grandchildren, Michelle, Darrien, Derek, Makena and Kylie Sutton, Melia Joffroy, Max and Stella Nevins; step-grandchildren, Carter, Jake, Alec and Lily Beth Gonzales; nephew, Javin Sutton; nieces, April and Ashley; father-in-Law, Rudy (Lois) Castello. Preceded in death by his mother, Joyce; brother, Kenny; and grandparents, Dayle and Madeline Hawkins. Ned was born to Jess and Joyce Sutton on Jan. 12, 1948, in Pueblo. He retired from The Pueblo Chieftain after 45 years of service, many of those years as production director. Ned enjoyed hosting family gatherings during the holidays, being called "Papa" by his many grandchildren, whom he loved deeply, collecting and showing cars, scuba diving, karate, fishing and being with Kathy in Westcliffe, watching football, his dogs, his koi fish pond and helping others. He also enjoyed weightlifting and was a state champion power lifter. As per his request, no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. There will be a private family gathering. Ned made numerous donations of time and money in support of this organization, which was very close to his heart.
