Services for Edward F. "Ed" Partridge will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Coy Methodist Church Cemetery near Preston.
Mr. Partridge,70 of Dekalb died at his home Saturday, September 24, 2011 after an extended illness. He was a devoted and loving daddy and granddaddy. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran, retired sales clerk for Kemper Building Supply, retired volunteer fireman operating the jaws of life and a devoted father and granddaddy.
He is survived by his daughter Penny (Bobby) Haskins and granddaughter Lilly Haskins all of Dekalb, brothers James (Shawna) Partridge and Elton (Laura) Partridge and PID sister Margie Partridge. Sisters Louise (Jerry) Villanueva of Dekalb and Eloise (Blake) Rouleau of Collinsville, brothers Alvis Partridge of Meridian, James Partridge of Lindale, TX, Gene Partridge of Meridian, Idaho and Elton Partridge of Coushatta, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents Gene and Hattie
Partridge and brothers Alton and Enos Partridge. Pallbearers serving are Stan Stewart, Roy
VanDevender, Jim VanDevender, Frankie Russell, Lynn Phillips and Don Stokes.
Visitation will continue until service time Tuesday.
