Wixson, Edwin "Ed" S.

Greece: Suddenly on June 21, 2017, at age 91. Predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Francis Wixson, brother Burton Wixson and sister Jean Wixson Carpenter. Survived by loving wife of 69 years Blanche "Skip" Wixson daughters Debra (Richard) Bennett of Ogden, NY and Terry (David) Kart of Allentown, PA, grandsons Adam Bennett of Gates, NY and Scott (Justina) Kart of Astoria, NY; as well as many nieces, nephews, and many friends at the Village at Unity in Greece, NY.

Ed was a member of the U.S. Navy from March 1944 to May 1946 serving aboard the USS Abbot as an Electrical Technician Mate. Ed later attended and graduated from Clarkson College of Technology in Potsdam with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering. Ed's career involved working for many companies across the U.S. involving military electronics projects.

Ed's hobbies included rooting for the Buffalo Bills, and Country and Western Dancing with his wife Skip. The pair won many dance contest championships and also appeared in the music video for the song "Keep On Rockin'" by the band Confederate Railroad. In recent years Ed enjoyed N Scale Railroading designing and building his own layouts.

A Remembrance Gathering will be held on Sunday, June 25th at 1:00PM in the Village Square Building at the Village of Unity, 1471 Long Pond Rd. Greece, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ed's name to a charity of one's choice.
